Further developing programming and English-language skills Anders had a good impression of CDRator from previous work in the telecom industry. So when an ex-colleague recommended it as a workplace, he applied for a job. When he was offered a position, he had no hesitation in saying yes.
Since joining CDRator, Anders has been involved in team-based technical development, creating systems in Java. “The tools, technology and language we use are very exciting,” he says. “I’ve definitely improved as a programmer since coming here. Also my spoken and written English has improved, as I work with a number of customers and colleagues whose native language is English.”
Team work and independence – striking a great balance “My team has great chemistry. We work closely with each other and I can always ask them for help – we bounce ideas off each other, which is very productive,” explains Anders.
But it’s not just the working relationship with his colleagues that appeals to Anders, it’s the balance that CDRator strikes between group goals and individual responsibility. “At the same time, I’m my own boss. I’m independent within the team. I have ownership of a task and this is really satisfying. I get to work on a job until it’s completed and see it operating in practice. It’s very satisfying to see something through to the end.” |
